New Caledonia is a
French archipelago on the continent of Oceania. There are 268.767 inhabitants
and they practice three religions: Christianity, Islam and Buddhism. The main
language is French.
New Caledonia is an
archipelago rich in beautiful museums and cultural centres. This island offers
many entertaining fairs and festivals throughout the year, for example

New Caledonia is
located in the Tropic of Capricorn. The climate of the islands is tropical;
rain is seasonal and winds usually blow from the east.
Different monuments
have been built, such as the Catholic Cathedral of Saint-Joseph, which was
built between 1887 and 1897. There is
also the Zoo and Forest Park located on the heights of Montravel. The
Zoological and Forestal Park of Michel Corbasson occupies an area of 34
hectares of the city. Les îlots de Nouméa, both located less than 5 km from
Ansa Vata have a relaxing hotel.
